Key innovations of the FishEUTrust project include: Smart Control Systems for Seafood Safety & Quality (electrodes in fish biosensing, sensors for detection of pathogenic bacteria or antibiotics, sensors for marine toxins, sensor for freshness); An AI Workflow for Generating Food-Chemical-Disease Knowledge Graph; an Advanced Suite of Tools for Seafood Quality, Safety and Traceability; Virtual Reality for Seafood Transparency and Consumer Trust; and the The FishEUTrust platform, a modular system designed to provide comprehensive traceability and data tracking across the seafood supply chain, from breeding or fishing to the end consumer.

Relevance to ALLIANCE

ALLIANCE shares with this pilot the objective of enhancing transparency and traceability across entire food supply chains. The two however differ as ALLIANCE focuses on quality-labelled foods (organic and PDO/PGI) and does not cover any type of seafood.
