Real-time & intelligent data sharing for verification of honey and herbs suppliers
This pilot aims to enhance transparency and food safety in the honey and herbal product sectors by utilizing real-time
data sharing and AI-powered risk assessments. The honey and herbal products industry
faces significant challenges in ensuring
transparency and food safety across its
supply chain. Limited access to reliable
and timely supplier data hinders efficient
risk management and complicates
compliance with food safety regulations.
This pilot addresses these issues by
creating a platform that facilitates realtime data sharing between suppliers and
food companies, enabling better decisionmaking and improving the reliability of
supply chain risk assessments. The solution involves the development of an AI-powered dashboard
that integrates various data sources to provide real-time, risk-based
assessments of honey and herb suppliers. This platform aims to
streamline supplier monitoring, transparency, and decision-making
by food companies.
This pilot focuses, like the ALLIANCE Organic Honey demonstrator [https://alliance-heu-project.eu/pilots/fighting-fraud-and-adulteration-…] is meant to detect fraudulent practices in honey, as well as in herbal products, although this project does not focus specifically on quality labelled foods.
