Testing & validating labelling approaches

The TealHelix project will test and validate different behavioral interventions and the efficiency of various labelling approaches (QR codes, digital product passports, AI app, etc.) in real-life settings across six different EU countries. The scientific and empirical findings will then be integrated into digital social innovations, powered by AI and gamification-driven, user-oriented tools, to support effective labelling solutions for transparency and traceability to empower informed food choices.

Relevance to ALLIANCE

Improiving traceability and transparency are a common objective of ALLIANCE and FoodGuard, albeit approached from different angles. While ALLIANCE focuses on the production side, FoodGuard is centered on the consumer experience. Nevertheless, consumer preferences are also covered in ALLIANCE, and have resulted in a scientific publication [https://alliance-heu-project.eu/articles/new-publication-exploring-consumer-intention-purchase-blockchain-traced-pasta ]
